Electroshock Records: Personalities:  
ALEXANDER VOLODIN
 

Alexander Volodin - was born in family of architects in 1982. But at the choice of profession he has preferred music. He entered music school (classical guitar class) in 2000. Simultaneously he studied in "Termen Center", Moscow recording studio for electroacoustic music. He became a laureate of "The Third All-Russian Competition of Young Composer - Crystal Tuning Fork" with composition "The Flower is Growing Up" in nomination "electronic music" in 2001. Since then he participated in different international competitions and festival. He also became a laureate of the "30th International Competition of Electroacoustic Music and Sonic Arts in Bourge" (France) with composition "The Music of My Memory" in 2003.

His first solo CD titled "Reflections of Time" was released on "Electroshock Records" label on the 10th of January 2004. Four compositions written during 2000-2002 are included to this particular CD. The main principle that can characterize style of this young composer is "quoting natures and surrounding world, the recalling events that had already happened in life, as dialogue of the man with his own past and future".
